Ever since the October 2006 passing of the US Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, which was aimed at preventing Internet Poker and Gambling for US citizens, a lot of major players in the online poker world have shut their doors to US resident players. Most notably PartyPoker, once the biggest online poker room of them all, it has since ceased offering poker to those residing in the US.
